Otter Lake is a four-season, lakeside vacation destination for outdoor enthusiasts that can be rented all year round. Summer activities include: swimming, water-skiing, fishing, cycling, horseback riding, gold-panning, ATVing and more. Two bicycles (guests are responsible to supply and wear their own helmets), pedal boats, canoes and kayaks are available free. All terrain vehicles and snowmobiles can be rented in nearby Tulameen and excellent golfing can be found a short drive away in the town of Princeton. Winter recreation includes: snowmobiling, ice-fishing, ice-skating and cross-country skiing. An outdoor skating rink nearby provides an excellent venue for ice-skating or an all-Canadian game of hockey.

The historic Kettle Valley Railway which forms part of the Trans-Canada Trail follows the eastern shore of Otter Lake and can be explored by bicycle, ATV or snowmobile. The ghost towns of Coalmont and Granite City are a short drive away and there are numerous lakes to explore in the area.
